WHAT IS CHILDREN’S YOGA?
Children’s yoga is here to remind kids to use their imagination, explore, reflect and learn all about self-love and awareness.
We aim to hold an environment for kids to learn the basic asana (physical practise) as well as mindfulness tools, breathing techniques, learning how to be accepting and respectful of themselves and others
Each session works with a different theme such as nature, mindfulness, courage, gratitude and kindness, exploring emotions, finding balance, communication etc.
WHAT WILL MY CHILD GAIN FROM
Yoga offers many physical benefits such as strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. As well as promoting kids to move their bodies, it’s all about being creative, being themselves and opening their minds.
We teach kids different breathing techniques to calm or build energy in the body. We also start teaching very basic, age appropriate skills with guided meditations and visualisation promoting better sleep and mindfulness.
We believe yoga builds strong bodies and minds, building resilient, accepting and confident children, ready to tackle life’s journey.
IS IT LIKE ADULTS YOGA?
No, children’s yoga is lots of fun!! We incorporate play, story telling, music and dancing, partner yoga, art and an opportunity for children to express themselves.
DO YOU TEACH TEEN’S YOGA?
At this stage we only teach teenage workshops once a month. More information can be found in events and workshops.
